I think i need a break to get over the easter break

I seem to be posting a lot of dressy-up 'going out out' clothes recently, so i thought i would blog about my favourite casual looks for this spring season. I have especially fallen in love with these 420 New Balance trainers in the black and white or grey and pink shades pink pictured below. I was never really fond of the Nike Blazers trend as i think they were ruined by the swarm of 18 year old girls going out clubbing in the "crop top-metallic disco pants- brightly coloured-nike blazers combo" … c'mon girls, trainers only belong on boys feet in nightclubs and bars (unless you're going to some mad rave i will let you off). However, I think new balance have a subtle classic style and look great for everyday with casual dresses or skinny jeans (and i personally cant help secretly love that they have my NB initials on the front).

These are a few of my favourite casual styles for this upcoming spring summer '14 season , inspired from urban city styles aswell as my love for country and natural shades. (Yes there is a lot of black and white again… maybe one day i will like wearing colour…)

(I admit i do like how these black and white Nike Blazers would look with this outfit)

Hope you all had a lovely Easter

Polyvore

Been having too much fun recently letting out my inner creative side on the polyvore iPhone app! You can clip photos from online fashion websites to create your own collage of outfit ideas or just save items of clothing you love for inspiration (patterns, cut, texture and design). Below are a few i have started creating, apologises if they seem slightly shabby or not very clean cut as i only downloaded this app yesterday!

As you can probably tell - i am a massive fan of monochrome and classic styles. One thing i personally dislike about fashion these days is random trends that flood the high street stores that everyone obsesses over, then you end up awkwardly wearing the same clothes as another girl on a night out! I like being slightly different, either that or i try to forecast the fashion and invest in something i love before everyone else gets their hands on it! For example when i first wore my asymmetrical skirt with a big zip up the side i got a few odd stares alongside a few compliments, and now misguided and new look sell them in every colour and pattern under the sun - and every other girl owns one. Luckily skorts and dipped hemmed skirts are still in fashion for the upcoming spring summer '14. Anyway rant over, back to the topic… here are my polyvore creations!

If you like the look of these then please follow me on polyvore account @natalie-jayne where i have added links to where you can purchase each item. Also feel free to follow my Instagram account @greenstblog as i shall post these types of pictures daily.

ice cream coat

Ashely Olsen meeting her sister for lunch in soft pink oversized swing coat.

Cami top, Jeans and Sunglasses : Topshop.
Chelsea boots: New Look
Crop top: missguided
High waisted jeans: Topshop

Crop top: missguided
Chunky square hoop earrings: Topshop

Today i received these two beautiful soft 'vanessa tailored coats' in Camel and Dusky Pink from Missguided   website. I was inspired by the Olsen twins effortless daytime city style by throwing this classic coat over jeans with a pair of big sunglasses and natural messy hair. This spring season I have seen lots of fashion bloggers loving the pastel pink colour (which is also my favourite) i think this colour works so well in this style as it adds a girly colour to this boyfriend styled jacket. If you prefer to be abit more subtle and natural with your style then the camel colour is perfect for everyday and will match almost anything in your wardrobe, however i personally felt the brown colour washed out my features.

Pink Lady

River Island leather jacket £55
River Island pink jeans in the sale for £12

New Look nude silk t-shirt and flowery fringed kimono £22.99

I feel this upcoming spring/summer season is all about the classic girly colour pink! My entire wardrobe seems to be overflowing with a lot of black and white so i tried experimenting with these pretty pastel shades.
My personal favourite is the jacket as i love the chunky zips and black trims. Unfortunately my student loan won't stretch that far but it would be so worth the money - The leather was extremely soft, light and figure hugging which is perfect for the (hopefully) upcoming warmer days (it also came in a bright white colour which is equally as beautiful.) I love being unique therefore i loved the fact this jacket makes a statement as it contrasts to the typical generic black biker jackets that everyone owns! I bought these jeans in the River Island sale for £12 (the mid-season sale is incredible by the way, i advise you to get to your local store asap to pick up some amazing bargains!) I think they will look really cute with a plain white tee or light blouse. I also tried on this New Look kimono as i think it would look really cute over a white summer dress or with denim shorts to give you that festival-vibe!
