missguided delivery

Been having some boring rubbish days recently, so naturally i decided to get myself onto missguided and choose a couple of outfits to update my very bland wintery wardrobe and get me extra excited for a few upcoming big nights out! Plus the fact there is nothing better then coming home from 3 hours of lectures to be greeted by two deliveries. I was half expecting myself to be walking to the post office in the morning to return them, but i love both this skirt and the playsuit!

Im digging the monochrome look recently, as they're such flattering colours, and are more classic then a Jane Austin book- they will never go out of fashion.

On another note, i saw this hairstyle on @missguidedcouk instagram, and so i thought id give it a try on my thin hair! It's surprisingly very comfy and easy to do, looks great on the model but i feel abit like a sumo wrestler... perhaps i lack the messy blonde highlights and fierce look.  (Maybe its one to keep for lazy days.)

black and gold

Its funny to think that if you had shown me this dress a few months ago i would have wrinkled my nose at it, mainly due to the length, and the fact all through high school us girls were forced to wear our itchy skirts on or below the knee, so the moment i left i wanted get my legs out!
However, I'm recently really loving the 'midi' fashion. Ive always thought i have a pretty boyish figure so have stuck to wearing body-con dresses as it seems the best style to suit my petite figure. This simple (and of course being me it has to be in the best colour black) dress has a sophisticated, feminine style which i love, the extra length elongates you shaping legs and bums perfectly! with the bonus of being extra comfy. It can be worn with heels or thrown on with a leather jacket and chelsea boots for a casual look.

I wore the dress (from New Look) with a chunky chain necklace (funnily enough £3 from the kids section of New Look) teamed with black stilettos.

Nearly half way through the week..ish! Happy Tuesday!

casual monday

Today has been typical british february weather; rain sun rain sun rain sun.
I was wearing a pretty red blouse however was forced by nature to layer up with a jumper and leather jacket!  I can not wait until the days i can go outside in just a t-shirt and jeans! Anyway, today i had the usual lectures but then i began my first day as a 'nanny'... basically babysitting. Unsure of what to wear when around 3 year olds with a very posh family, i decided to go for a laid-back casual look but with a sophisticated twist, (hence the addition of the pretty edgy necklace - a gift from my sister).
