black and gold

I fell in love with this top the moment i saw it. The silk cross-over back and low gold sequinned front is so perfect to pair with some black heels and black skinny jeans to look like a shimmery glitter ball on a night out! The light material falls over your shoulders so nicely for an effortless classy style. I love making investments in clothing and i know this is an item i will wear over and over again even in the daytime with a leather jacket and black chelsea boots. "SoCal"

I have to admit, Hollisters new fall'14 range is soo nice. A lot of the clothes look as if they should be in All Saints - which i love! Call me bias but their jeans are the best I've had so far, a lot of mine from high street stores tend to go thin or loose their shape, but this high rise charcoal pair fits perfectly. I also bought this kimono as the design reminded me of a snakeskin pattern, its also surprisingly warm for a "hole-ey" cardigan.

Hawaii or Hampshire?

Weather recently has been madness, i feel like I'm in Hawaii instead of Hampshire, however i am not complaining one bit.

Hot humid weather is so hard to dress for as i just want to walk around in a bikini all day. I picked up this light thin material loose top from Topshop the other day, I had to refrain myself from buying the black as my wardrobe always looks like a black cave. I decided to add some colour to my wardrobe and buy these Sarah Bohemian Print Palm detail shorts from missguided. As you've probably noticed, i like to invest in clothes that can be worn in loads of different ways and I'm looking forward to dressing them up with gold details and my black stilettos!

miss selfridge new styles

I was never very keen on Miss Selfridge as i used to think some things were abit too 'glitzy and girly' for my style, however i am extremely impressed by their recent styles! I have a slight obsession with black and white contrasts at the moment and i fell in love with this off the shoulder crop top, mesh halter square neck body, asymmetrical wrap midi skirt and strappy heels! (White bag is from Urban Outfitters.) All amazing quality and such affordable prices for students like me… Also love how all these pieces can be mixed and matched for example with high waisted jeans for day/night looks.

(I'm also still fairly new to the blogging world, I'm still playing around with lighting/poses and how i lay out my photos, let me know your opinions!)

fresh new room

Just a quick post to apologise for the lack of blog posts - i have had a crazy few weeks as I recently moved back to my University city of Winchester (our house is actually pretty decent for student accommodation). I have been working loads and having lots of great catch ups and a few party nights! Looking forward to a fresh start with a new Fashion course here in September and am loving my new job in Hollister!

I decided to try make my room as light and simple as possible, hence choosing a black and white theme as its soooo easy to do - picked up a few cushions from Ikea and added my personal bits and bobs including mirrored drawers and my Dottie Rocks designs poster from their Etsy online shop!

My room isn't complete without some girly fairy lights and Dallas Greens voice in the background!

I finally have the weekend off, so lots of posts to come today... check my instagram @natalie_greenst where i notify my followers that I've uploaded a new post.

the golden state

I was lucky to receive these gorgeous items from The Infinitine collection, new favourites to add to my gold jewellery collection. I am in love with these dainty circular bangles called 'slime hammered round bangle bracelet' and the stunning californian map necklace! I seem to prefer gold jewellery to silver as i feel it draws out my dark hair/dark eyes better. I especially love the necklace as now every time i wear it it is a constant reminder of my dream to go to "the golden state" in the near future!

The brushed metal effect on the necklace and the hammered dented metal of the bracelets gives the jewellery a real unique and expensive look in comparison to the amazing affordable prices on the website! They're the perfect details to style up a very simple everyday jeans and plain white tee outfit. Check out their website for soooo many more gorgeous statement and dainty pieces similar to these.
